Math

 This week for math we had to pick any question. And then we collated the data and made it into a graph. I did mine on the color of peoples eyes. the most popular eye color was brown eyes. Here is my math.  

• 1. I chose a bar graph because I think it's the easiest  way to present my data.

• 2. My overall findings were that there are a lot of brown and blue eyes and that hazel and green eyes weren't that popular.

• 3. I don't really know why there are more brown eyes than green eyes

•  4. That greens eyes and hazel eyes are nearly the same.

•  5. I have collected my data on a bar graph and did that by going around and asking people what eye color they have.

  

Rad reading

  For reading this week we had to read two different texts about New Zealand. I read Amazing Ideas And  Life in Aotearoa New Zealand. Amazing Ideas was about the Christchurch earthquakes and how three girls wanted to make a safe space for people to hang out in. And Life in Aotearoa New Zealand was about a space where native birds and plants can live.Here are some bullet points I found Interesting.    

            

           Book 1: Amazing Ideas

• The girls felt that since the earthquakes, there were not that many places where people could meet. “ We wanted to create a new place for people to be together.

 

•  They wanted it to be a sustainable, bold different building.

•   They wanted it to be made of recycled materials.

  

              Book 2: Life in Aotearoa New Zealand 

•    There are a lot of native New Zealand animals and plants.

 

•     New Zealand was home to lots of reptiles like lizards, crocodilians and at least seven different species of dinosaur.

•   The tuataras 200 million years ago were bigger than the ones today.

•    Many of the animals died because of the different climate change.  

 

      

Lakia's Distance and Directions, My Map

 Hello this week in math we are doing the distance and directions to Kaiapoi Pa to Onawe Pa we used the app my map for this. The distance between my map was 70 km. The co - ordinates for  Kaiapoi Pa were 43.225's 172.392'E and Onawe Pa was 43.774's 172.92S'E. Here is my map that I created.
